Dragon*Con 2011!

Dragon*Con never fails to disappoint in awesomeness. After having not been able to go last year, I made double to effort to make sure that I would be there for the 25th anniversary of the con. TO say that it was nuts would be an understatement. There were people EVERYWHERE! Not only that, but, at one point, I literally counted 1 out of every 7th person to be in some sort of costume!

The best part about the con is that it gives me the chance to meet and hang out with so many Facebook friends from all over. Cosplayers such as Riddle, Marie-Claude Bourbonnais, Kearstin Nicholson, and BelleChere and fellow pin up artists Amano Jyaku and Scott Blair were just a few of some of the uber-talented people that attended the con.

While I was up there, I managed to get a few drawings in while relaxing in the hotel room:

Cosplay For A Cause

excerpts from the website:

"With the terrible events that happened in Japan on March 11th, 2011, and continuing repercussions, Cosplayers from all over the world have come together to support the country that has inspired them.

Cosplay for a Causes' mission is to use our love of costuming to raise money for the Japanese Red Cross Society to assist in Japan's Disaster relief aid. We are currently offering a 2012 calendar which contains international cosplayers with many never before seen photos. 100% of all our proceeds will be going to the Japanese Red Cross society."

Cosplay for a Cause 2012 Cosplay Calendar is a must have for any fan of cosplay. Rarely has something been done before with such a wide assortment of cosplayers, and who knows when you will see all these beautiful cosplayers together again. This calendar is full of high quality, never before seen photos, specifically done for this project. Each month will also come with a small illustration done by one of the 4 professional comic book artists involved in the project.

At full size the calendar will open to 11x22, allowing each beautiful image to be displayed at 11x17. The staples in the middle can be easily removed when the year is done so you can save your favorite photo!
